Putting the Village First

Cleaner Lakes

Over the last two decades, Lake Agawam has become one of the most polluted lakes in the State. This is simply unacceptable.  Enough studies... it's time to focus Village resources on the cleanup.

Lowering Debt

In addition to higher taxes, the Village of Southampton is facing massive long-term debt obligations.  Our finances have been mismanaged for too long; it's time to run our Village with the same common-sense practices that businesses use.

Revitalize Downtown

Empty storefronts and not enough "wet uses" -- restaurants especially -- are plaguing Southampton as we fall further and further behind other villages each year.  Gina & Joe have a plan to revitalize downtown by keeping taxes low and incentivizing small businesses.

No New Taxes

Gina and Joe are the only candidates to have made a promise to not enact any new taxes.  Higher taxes and higher costs of living will only cause more year-round residents and businesses to flee Southampton.

Preserve the Village

As we've all noticed, overdevelopment has run rampant here in Southampton the last decade and it is ruining the character of our Village.  We need to re-enact common-sense building and zoning codes that preserve the Village for future generations.

Affordable Housing

For too long, politicians with ties to developers have ruled over the village. They have led the charge to develop McMansions while simultaneously opposing any affordable housing plans. We will put an emphasis on creating housing that is affordable and accessible to the general public.
